Chewy, buttery, and loaded with golden syrup – these classic flapjacks are a breeze in the air fryer.

Step 1

In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, golden syrup, and brown sugar together until smooth and combined.

115 g Unsalted butter

2 tbsp Golden syrup

100 g Light brown sugar

Step 2

Stir in the oats and mix well until everything is evenly coated.

250 g Porridge oats

Step 3

Divide the mixture into silicone moulds - square ones work perfectly (I use trays with 4 compartments), or just press into one large silicone / foil tray if you prefer.

Step 4

Air fry at 150°C for 20–25 minutes until golden and set around the edges.

Step 5

Leave to cool in the moulds for at least 10 minutes before removing (they’ll firm up as they cool).

Step 6

Perfect with a cuppa. Enjoy!
